Broadway Gallery is a full-service art and picture framing company. We offer complete art services to a wide range of corporate and residential clients. We are looking for an individual to join our team and manage the installation side of our business.
This job entails communicating with clients in a variety of ways to schedule, perform, and install projects throughout the DC-Metro area and occasionally throughout the mid-Atlantic region. The individual would also be involved with picture framing, art sales, and creative design.
Job Description:
The installation manager must be able to communicate and coordinate installations with clients and co-workers, handle artwork carefully, deliver and install a variety of mediums, and be able to creatively problem-solve unforeseen issues while maintaining superb customer service conduct. Our ideal candidate is someone with experience or interest in handling art and is mechanically inclined. This person should be self-efficient and can work both individually and with a team. This is a full-time position with a salary ranged from 40k-75k based on experience. Benefits included. Overtime is available. On-the-job training is available.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with clients to schedule installation dates.
- Perform and oversee the installation of art.
- Design gallery wall and exhibition spaces.
- Prepare art for transportation and storage.
- Deliver artwork to clients.
- Educate clients on proper archival care of artwork and hanging techniques.
- Coordinate shipping logistics for incoming and outgoing artwork.
- Take photos of finished projects.
Qualifications:
- Comfortable on ladder.
- Comfortable with a variety of tools.
- Can easily lift 50+lbs.
- Computer skills – can navigate Microsoft suites.
- Basic woodworking skills.
- Knowledge and experience with art hand tools.
- Having a driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the ability to drive a work van is required.

Must have a good sense of interior design and an understanding of how artwork completes the space.

The gallery manager is responsible for creating custom frame designs and solutions for a variety of mediums, selling artwork to clients, and performing the daily maintenance tasks of a gallery. This person should be able to juggle multiple on-going projects, work independently and with a team, and develop creative, yet practical solutions to problems. - Perform day-to-day maintenance: open and close, order supplies, phone enquiries, inventory of art.
- Coordinate with offsite appraisers, restorers, and other creative professionals.
- project management- setting deadlines and priorities while communicating project status with clients.
- Perform sales transactions with cash, credit, debit, or check.
Qualifications:
- A background in studio art, art history, museum studies, or related field.
- Can easily lift 30+ lbs.
- Computer skills – can navigate Microsoft suites. Experience using LifeSaver software is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge and experience with art hand tools.

This person should be good with tools and machinery and be able to solve problems by using a creative and practical approach. - Perform all tasks necessary in picture framing production. Including but not limited to:
- Wood chopping and joining
- Mat cutting
- Glass cutting
- Mounting Art
- Frame fitting
- Approach problem solving by thinking of the most practical solution while anticipating customer needs and keeping archival methods in mind.
Qualifications:
- 3+ Years of experience working in picture framing production.
- PPFA certification a plus but not required.
- Comfortable with a variety of tools.
- Can easily lift 50+lbs.
- Basic woodworking skills.
