25 Oct Putting Your Collections on Display
Are you one of those people that can’t seem to let go of that old Abbey Road album even though you no longer own a record player, or maybe it’s the Wayne Gretzky jersey you purchased during the height of his fame?
If so, there’s probably a reason for it. So many of us hold onto memorabilia because they are just that – pieces from a moment in time or an experience that was so amazing that we hope will live on. Moments that we want to recall over and over again.
Collections reflect a part of what is important to us – they are experiences that we want to share with others, not stored away in a drawer somewhere or in a box in the garage.
Maybe you have a special collection of old record album covers, or maybe it’s a collection of ceramics, or perhaps you have some antiques that you want to display in your home but don’t know where to start.
Here at Broadway Gallery, we are doing just that and so much more for our clients. Case in point: we recently installed this gallery wall for a client of ours who is a huge collector of vintage vinyl record albums from some of the greats – Elvis, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin. Maybe you’ve heard of them.
We turned this collection of vintage vinyl record album covers it into an eclectic gallery wall that is now not only a conversation piece, but also a way of paying tribute to what our client believes were some of the greatest musicians of that time. We started with an eye-level grid and kept the pieces close together to create unity among them.
Maybe you’re a stamp collector, or you collect ceramics or antiques. Whatever it is, why don’t you put it on display? You already have the stuff, so why not put it to use?
There are so many different ways to create a gallery wall with a collection you own. Stop in to one of our convenient locations at Broadway Gallery in Great Falls or Alexandria for a free consultation and to find out more!
